Hi, I'm Jeni,

I've worked as a licenced Private Investigator and Security Program Coordinator since 2014, with time spent as a Correctional Officer. A former member of the National Fraud Fighters team for the Canadian Red Cross, I was a guest speaker at Fire Service Association of Nova Scotia annual conference (2022) on Fraud in a Non-profit Landscape.

I am passionate about co-creating safe spaces. I work with communities, non-profits, organizations and individuals to improve safety, security and resilience through Workshops, Training, Site Assessments and Emergency Program Development.

Through my experience as contract Wildfire Fighter and Emergency Management Coordinator I have supported B.C Wildfire response, COVID response and N.S. disaster responses. I studied First Responder Trauma Prevention and Recovery, Psychological First Aid, creating Psychologically Safe Workspaces, and San’yas Indigenous Cultural Safety Training.

In my spare time I write, refinish furniture, collect beach glass, and hang with my family and pets. I'm a member of the Playwrights Guild of Canada, a former acting teacher at Pacific Film and New Media Academy and Kaleidoscope Theatre, and I participate in local theatre and film.
